Animal Weave

Description

This is another project I did for AP Art.
Our assignment was to draw a ferocious-looking animal and draw it covered in weave-like wicker thingies. I chose a bobcat (looks more like a panther...but oh well, who cares anyway?)
The only real good feature of the whole thing is probably the colored portions of the mouth and eyes. Other than that, I should have worked on the shading a little bit more.

Hope everyone likes it. :D

Please critique. Thank you.

I think this is an amazing piece. When I caught a glimpse of it during llama distribution I immediately had to click on it and get a closer look.

I think that your execution of this idea is amazing and I like the limited colours. The shading is good too, though I agree a little more work on it would have made this idea pop even more.

It appears a little blurry, and that perhaps a little more precision would help sharpen this up and give it that something extra. I'm not sure if this is just a scanner issue, but it would probably help immensely.

I also think the weaving around the ears doesn't integrate quite right into the rest of the piece, but that it can lend to the idea of it being put together, as it were, of something other than itself. In the end it still detracts a little from the idea, but nothing terribly so.

Altogether this is a very striking picture.
