As we laid ourselves down under the nearest tree both of us gazed up at the billions of stars that speckled all across the navy-domed sky. I guess all the intensity from what happened made me swoon, for I was in such of a state of shock that fatigue must have taken over my mind and sent me reposing into next daybreak. I tossed and turned under silken layered bed sheets and a quilt that spread entirely over a king-sized bed. The gigantic pillow that I rested my head on was as sleek as the bed sheets; cushioning my head as I bobbed it from side to side. Taking in a gasp of air I snap open my eyes. Chapter 1

I awake on Sunday morning with a yawn. The crisp country October air greets my senses like a bowing prince; calmly flowing through my wispy beige curtains from the open window as the warm sunlight poured in after it, kissing my face. Getting up to stretch, I folded and smoothed out the crinkled sheets of my bed. I then thumped my way down stairs, my long brown hair bouncing up and down in a pony tail, and I have my usual daily breakfast: A bowl of Kellogg’s© Frosted flakes.
“How did you sleep?” my Mom asked me.

Friday Metrocon: Deutschland's Electrohazardby =German-Blood

WOOO! I love this photo so much!

Anyway, this is the outfit I designed, created, and wore to Metrocon 2012. I was so happy how this design was able to come to life. The wings definitely made the attire stand out, which is the good thing, cause I was so close to not finishing them in time for Friday.

A lot of people that day were asking me what I was or who I was cosplaying, so I'll clarify here what my vision was: I initially wanted to do just a simple cybergoth outfit that was themed with colors from the German flag. I ordered my German flag fluffies, made the wig with dreads in black red and gold, blah blah blah, but then I started adding more materials to make it seem more industrial and more...post-apocalyptic I guess? There was a lot of conduit tubing, electrical wires, zip ties, and tape going on at first. lol It seemed like my cybergoth style turned itself into a rogue experiment-looking creature then your typical stereotype, and soon I added details like a biohazard sign on my duct tape dress (and yes it's a dress made entirely of duct tape and hazard tape), more conduit tubing to the respirator and wig, some glow-stick-like batteries to wear on my back, some caution tape wings, and boom this happened!

So what I call officially my "Deutschland's Electrohazard" cybergoth outfit, is also considered my "Nuclear Angel" outfit.

I actually finished those wings like literally 3 hours before the convention started. lol I'm thinking of redoing them though since they've started to warp slightly.

that would be cool though, to re-make them--what are they made out of, if you don't mind me asking...? must have been made out of something pretty sturdy to last the con! :]

I used foamcore board and duct tape, but I'm thinking of just peeling off the tape and using basswood instead.
