I seriously don't understand why this is so hard for some people. Especially emo people (no offense). But really, how fucking difficult is it to save up your cash, or ask Mommy and Daddy for X-mas or for your B-Day to get you a tripod for your digital camera...or ANY camera for that matter??? People think, "Oh! I've seen some band promo pictures where the members stare up at the ceiling camera and make themselves look cool! I wonder if I can model the same way and style my hair in kick-ass manner to make myself look totally awesome..."
Truth is, people...holding your camera up as far as your arms can reach and glaring at it like a retarded magazine model, won't make you any more glamourous then you already are. If fact, it kinda makes you look dumb knowing you don't know how to set up your camera in an elevated spot and use the timer button like a person who "thinks outside the box" could.
And as far as taking pictures in the mirror, with your camera held in your hand....why would you want to do that anyway? Why would you want to corrupt your oh-so-gorgeous self picture by including your Polaroid in there with it???? Nobody cares what your camera looks like, and I doubt that the first thing when people look at your photo is go, "Oh! What a beautiful camera S/he's got!"
NO!
If you don't have a friend to take a picture of you, then do this: Save your money. Buy a tripod! You want elevation, then be creative and stack it up on some boxes or whatever the heck you have in your home... and don't take any more photos of yourself until you've done it!!!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
