Well, I have a feeling that I have a C in one of my classes, and then the rest might be B's and A's. Bummer. I hate C's.

Anyway, I actually have some time to do stuff now! I have a chance to clean my room, decorate it with Christmas displays, and even sleep in (which I've been wanting to do for 18 weeks now)! Ultimately though, I have a chance to work on some damn art! Between computer class and English, I basically had no fucking life. This is why you all haven't been seeing me very active here lately, and again, I deeply apologize to everyone who has had a butt-load of gallery dumps lately and that I haven't been around to comment or look at most of everyone's stuff. Forgive me for having a college career!

My Fall To Do LIST:

Holy shit guys! The past couple of days have definitely been a f***ing awesome Metalocalypse-laden experience!
-First there was Halloween, where I dressed up as Toki w/ stage-makeup
-Then there was Saturday with the Dethklok/Mastodon concert WHICH WAS AMAZINGLY BRUTAL BY THE WAY!
-And finally, a day after the concert, there was the season three premier of Metalocalypse. SQUEEEE! *beware of spoilers below*

Ok, I know it's kind of late now to be discussing about Halloween, but this kind of fits in with my Journal topic...so nyaaaa!
My Halloween was pretty fun. My friend Val invited me and my boyfriend over to her party for some games, trick-or-treating and movie-watching. Poor Jason didn't want to "beg for candy" since he thought it was a little too immature for our age group; but thankfully he at least came with us to keep me company while we trekked around Val's neighborhood. I think the best part of the whole experience though was when her Dad randomly walked onto the lawn in a pirate suit while he fired, into the sky, these monstrously huge flames out of a blowtorch. I swear to God, I could feel the heat from that thing for like more than 9m away!
And of course we played games and had conests. I won the prize for funniest costume. ^_^ Everyone except Val and Jason knew who Toki was; everyone else just kinda stared at me wondering where my boobs went and why I glued a fu manchu to my face.
Lastly, we all sat down and watched Rocky Horror Picture Show and ate candy. Good times....good times.


Next, The Dethklok/Mastodon concert! HO-LY CRAP! This was my first rock (or metal band) concert experience, and wow! Jason and I had a lot of fun. The Dethklok performance was ultimately the best one out of all the performances (I wish they played more songs from the second album though D: ). But God almighty, they definitely put Dethklok as the final performance band on purpose! Two other bands, High on Fire and Converge, played first before Mastodon, and Dethklok came last. As I figured. High on Fire was okay. Not too crazy about their style, but they were alright. I liked Converge a little more, but then again, I couldn't understand a single fucking word the guy was singing...or screaming...I couldn't tell what the hell it was. It sounded like the only word he knew was "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"
But they were the ones who actually got the moshers all fired up.

It was fun watching the mosh pit people ram into others and spin around like jerks (the majority of them were either high or totally wasted), but it was frightening when they were about to ram into you when you're not prepared or if you underestimate the power of your own inertia. lol I thank Jason a whole lot for holding onto me and protecting me against them. However, the only thing we couldn't protect against was the flying beer and ice cubes. You could certainly tell who the dumbasses were if they brought a full cup of beer with them into the mosh pit. Huuurrr.

When Mastodon came on, it felt like the concert actually STARTED. Lights dimmed, the screen behind the band was in motion, and the songs were absolutely amazing. And just like I predicted too, they performed "Oblivion" as their opening song. YEEEEE! If there was anything bad about seeing them live, it would have to be the singing volume. I could barely even hear their voices over the loud instruments.

Ultimately though, the Dethklok performance played out just like an episode of Metalocalypse. There was an introduction with the Tribunal figuring out a way to poison all Dethklok fans, then it went to playing the Deththeme, Bloodlines, The Gears, Thunderhorse, Murmaider, Burn the Earth, Black Fire Upon Us, Dethsupport, The Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle, and Fansong. In the middle of it all were brief shorts with FaceBones and Dethklok backstage. Overall, it was hilarious, entertaining, and energetic to say the least. Seeing Brenden Small on stage, as close as we were, made me a very happy panda.


Finally, the new episode of Metalocalypse.....WOOOO! It definitely grabbed my attention. It seemed like Dethklok was going to go bankrupt with Charles dead. But THEN, ****SPOILER ALERT***** in an almost cliche ending, CHARLES LIIIIIIVES!!!! He marches through the blinding light of the open door and reappears again to kick out the representative who shut down Dethklok's most expensive concert (to pay off the tremendous debt)!!! GWAAAAAH!!!!! *explodes with happiness*
Additionally, there was a brief flashback to when Dethklok originally formed. Everyone was young and fit (especially Nathan and Murderface), but WTF dude, there was no Toki! In his place was this guy with like a pharaoh beard!
WOOBOY I'm excited now. This means we get to see when Dethklok originally formed and how they got together!!! At last my wishes have been answered. Haha.
...and I think after watching that episode, I have a strange urge to eat Doritos and char TV dinner plates until the plastic melts.

My Fall To Do LIST:

So I've listened to all of Rammstein's new songs (including the bonus tracks)...and I must say, it's quite better than what I was expecting.
It's ultimately more sex-influenced like Sehnsucht, but it has some of a Reise Reise tone with more heavy metal influences. In "Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da," and "Waidmanns Heil" you obviously can hear the quick metal guitar riffs and drum beats. What I noticed most of all is the frequent use of brass horns, which caught me off guard (in a good way) the first time I listened to it. Overall, I love it dearly. I think my favorites are "Bückstabü" just because it reminds me so much of "Symmetry" by Dethklok, and "Führe Mich" on the bonus album.
However, I personally give it a 4/6, only because I feel that compared to their earlier works, it still doesn't come close to the creativeness in Sehnsucht or Reise Reise. I think they wanted to keep their trademark Rammstein rhythm without making songs that were too off beat from what they originally made before. Kinda like recycling old ideas when you have a brain fart and can't think up of any new ones. Still, it's compelling because they've tried something different (like they do in every album) and they definitely made an impact with "Pussy" which is one of those LOL-What-The-Fuck type of comeback attention-getters that to me is so typical Rammstein humor. "Pussy" sticks out like a sore thumb when compared to the rest, but it's fun to listen to after hearing "Roter Sand". And why the hell they used the same whistling intro from "Roter Sand" in "Liese," is beyond me. I wish they used something different...cause it get's too hauntingly repetitive after a while.
But yeah, all Rammstein fans no doubt will love the album. It's definitely a brutal, imaginative, and kinky slice of awesomeness.


Anywho, I have a new art project that I'm thinking of doing. After I get done with my Wolf's Rain fanart and another drawing which is going to be a surpise , I plan on doing a 50 song-theme challenge where I pick one of the songs, and then base my artwork on the inspiration & imagery. Why not a 100 song theme challenge? Because my intention span is like that of a 5 year old, and 50 drawings/paintings will take me almost well over a year to complete. Add that to my low patience level, and it's not a very pretty sight. So there!
I'll post the song list a little later. Right now I'm still debating on which ones to choose.

My Fall To Do LIST:

I'm pretty psyched now that it's October! Woots! Halloween celebrations and back to back horror-movie nights are now in session!

OK, so to start off, I woke up yesterday morning to a crisp, cool breeze! To me that's amazing, cause from May 1st until September 30th, it has been nothing but nonstop sticky morning/nighttime humidity. I mean, it was to the point where I had to have both my ceiling fan on AND an extra rotating fan less then 2 feet from my bed. But then all of a sudden a cold front comes in through the state and WHAM! I get to wear my super awesome hoodies again! I'm pretty happy. ^^

Additionally, I finally got the chance to buy my Dethklok/Mastodon tickets for November 7th! YEEEEE! I can't wait! This is going to be my first real rock concert experience... *cries tears of joy*. My boyfriend and I are going to stay at a hotel (hopefully) for the time being, so we don't have to worry about driving home on I4 for 74 freakin' exits at midnight. God why does Orlando have to be so far away?????? It needs to be closer to Tampa I swear.

Oh! And I finally got Dethklok's Dethalbum II!!! It's spectacular! Go buy it! NOW! The quality is great, and it really helps with Small's new screechy-voice for Nathan Explosion. When I first heard that the new album has Nathan doing both his usual growls and metal screeches, I thought it kinda was a little bit on the :/ 'ehhhh...I don't know if I'll like this as much as the first album', but the CD quality makes a BIG difference. The YouTube quality kinda made the singing worse (no durr, ja?). So yeah, all of you Metalocalypse fans, definitely buy it, torrent it, borrow the CD from a friend, or let them burn it to you.....whatever works.

Unfortunately, I found out there isn't going to be a Repo! screenplay. Bummer. Instead though, I have my choice of either attending Rocky Horror on the 17th, or Little Shop of Horrors on the 30th! EVEN BETTER!

Alright, a little rant moment here. As far as work goes, I kinda was a little upset over how my second job over at the Deli was being a real pain in the keister. My job over at KFC has got me working every evening after school, and then the Deli makes me work on the weekends. Sooooo...you better believe that's cutting into my studytime and everything. I never really even wanted that job in the first place. That was just something my parents wanted in order to appease them for me not being able to find two jobs over the summer. Besides, I only work Friday and Saturday, and it just so happens that the requested days off that I need in advance (like for my Dethklok concert and my annual Christmas trip to NJ) happen to land on those two days reserved for the Deli. Then, my boss gives me the whole speech on how holidays are MONDATORY and that I can't just take off those only two days that I work there! By then I'm thinking to myself 'yeah well, you can take your $8.30 an hour and shove it up your ass cause there ain't no way I'm working on the fucking 1st of January! That'll screw up my vacation BIG TIME, and I already paid $100 (technically $50 cause Jason paid me back) for those concert tickets in November. So not going due to the fact that I need to be there to place chickens in the rotisserie oven and slice meat & cheese for impatient soccer moms, will be enough for me to throw down the apron and say "Well, I'm off to continue my position in the fastfood joint, where I can at least get a 30 minute break and an employee meal discount. Good day." ' However, as soon as I "threatened to quit" by doubting my ability to maintain my position there, they suddenly get all worried and concerned now like "Oh! WHY? Don't quit. We need you, blah blah blah." Well YEAH you need me, cause if I do, then that means more hours and responsibility that was once mine, are now back on your shoulders again! I still want to give them my two weeks notice, but since they gave me the whole "give it a second chance" speech, I'll try and work it out somehow for the time being.

GUH! Anyway, back to good news. The ASP fan-base community put in a new English-speaking subforum! As soon as I found that out I litterally squealed with delight. The whole English-speaking twin website of the same community kinda slowly died and left me as the only one who has updated any forum posts since 2007. So in order to still keep the fans, they simply merged the entire forum to a subforum in the German website. Easier to manage I guess too since the English-speaking community is so small compared to the German crowd. But yayz! I get to post some fanart there now and have an active amount of people to view it.

That's pretty much it. School sucks, but that's nothing out of the ordinary. I'll update again when Rammstein's new album comes out.
